The Big 2!!!

Yes, the day finally arrived.  January 9th the twins turned 2.    I remember talking to mothers of twins and they told me that the first 2 years were the worst.  Honestly, the first year is all a blur and the second was a little trying at times.    So my parents came from Utah to celebrate their birthday.   We played during the day and had cake and ice cream that night.   We invited Meg and Tate's little friends to come over to get high on sugar and it was fun.   They definitely knew that the day was about them, but didn't really know why.  When we were singing to them Tate was holding him his finger and kind of leading us and would say to you.   It was adorable.   They both kept touching the cake and couldn't wait to dive it.  When I ask them how old they are, they both hold one finger up and say 2.   Happy Birthday to my favorite twins!  I love you guys!

Sean and Meg after coming down the hill on the tube.
Tate eating snow for lunch.  Avery made sure that it wasn't yellow.

Avery loving every minute of snow.  It had been 3 years since she has played in it.

Meg and Tate trying to figure out what all of this white stuff is.

Snow!!!!

The week of Christmas we had a lot of rain, so obviously we knew there would be snow in the mountains here.   So last Saturday we decided to go to Strawberry which is about 2 hours north and play in some.   The twins had never seen snow before.   First of all, they hated having all of the clothing on and kept trying to take it off.   Meg's hands were cold, so we put hand warmers in them and then she was happy.   It was only 18 degrees where we were, so I couldn't blame her.   She also loved going down the mountain with Sean on a tube.  She is way to gutsy.  Tate enjoyed eating the snow and didn't want to do anything else.  Avery went up and down about 20 times and finally got a little cold and tired after 2 hours.  It was a great day!   It didn't feel like we were in AZ anymore.
