Our first few moments together.
Josie with Dr. Faulk who was on call for Dr. Kudlinski
Right before Josie was born
So on Thursday July 9th I went in for my Dr. appointment. She checked me and I was at dilated to a 3.5 and 50% effaced. She asked me if I wanted my membranes stripped, so I said yes and she did. I asked her if she thought that I would have her that weekend and she said probably not. I went home and back to my normal routine. I really didn't have any major contractions or anything. Went to bed Thursday night, woke up Friday morning feeling fine. I went to the gym and did a cycle class. About half way into it I started having contractions that were about 5 minutes apart. Those who know me I suffered through it and had to finish the class. I wasn't too worried about them and thought they would go away. So I grabbed my kids and hurried home to shower. Well the contractions didn't go away. They kept getting closer, so I called Sean and told me him that he needed to wrap things up at work and meet me at the hospital, so I could get checked out. I then called my friend Amy and told her what was going on. She was at movie day with her kids and my other friend Dana and her kids. Amy came over with Dana's daughter Becca and Amy drove me to the hospital and Becca watched my kids. In the car on the way there, my contractions were about 2-3 minutes apart. Got to the hospital and to make a long story short Josie Amber Cramer was born VBAC at 6:45p.m after about 6 hours of labor.
